Abercrombie & Fitch sales fall in Q2, but web takes lightest hit
Abercrombie & Fitch’s second quarter sales declined across the board. Q2 e-commerce sales were $48.7 million, a 13% decline from $55.9 million in the second quarter of 2008. Total sales decreased 23% to $648.5 million from $845.8 million in Q2 of 2008.

Monthly web sales fall again at Abercrombie, but at a slower rate
July web sales were down 11% at Abercrombie & Fitch and off 17% so far this year. Comparable-store sales declined 28% in July, only slightly slower than the 30% drop for year to date.

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. posted declines across all of its sales channels in the third quarter, including the web. E-commerce revenue declined by 6.2% while total revenue and comparable store sales dropped by 8% and 14%, respectively.
