Sony deal lets Amazon offer restriction-free music from four top labels
Amazon.com has reached an agreement with Sony BMG Music Entertainment to provide the music label’s content in DRM-free MP3 format. Amazon’s MP3 music store will offer downloads from the top four music labels, playable on most digital music players.

Amazon.com tries to take another bite out of Apple by adding Warner music
Amazon.com announced an agreement today with major music label Warner Music Group to allow DRM-free music downloads of the label’s artists. The music will be available on Amazon’s online music store, AmazonMP3.com, which was launched in September.

Amazon’s Q3 net income shoots up 321%
Amazon.com just keeps pushing ahead. Amazon’s Q3 sales grew year over year by 41% to $3.26 billion from $2.31 billion while net income jumped to $80 million from $19 million.
