CDW riding high on record-setting $2 billion second quarter
Web sales in the second quarter of 2007 were $588.9 million for CDW, representing a 19.3% increase compared to the prior year. The Internet comprised 31.3% of total sales.

Top-10 online retailer CDW accepts buyout offer from private equity firm
Madison Dearborn Partners LLC has agreed to pay approximately $7.3 billion for CDW, which sells computers and software to government, businesses and consumers. But CDW can solicit other bids for 30 days.

First quarter total sales rise faster than web sales at CDW
E-commerce sales for CDW Corp. rose by 10% in the first quarter while total revenue grew by 17%. Total sales in the first quarter of 2007 were $1.86 billion compared to $1.59 billion in the first quarter of 2006.

CDW web sales grow 12% in 2006
Direct marketer of personal computers and related gear CDW grew web sales by 8% in Q4 and 12% for the full year. In 2006 the web accounted for 28% of all sales vs. 27% in 2005.

CDW achieves record total sales, but web sales grow faster
In the third quarter of 2006 web sales at CDW Corp. hit $496.3 million, a 9% increase over Q3 2005’s $445.3 million. E-commerce sales in Q3 2006 represented 28.5% of total sales of $1.74 billion.

CDW acquires I.T. services provider Berbee
To expand its market share among bigger information technology buyers, CDW is purchasing Berbee Information Networks Corp. in a deal valued at about $175 million. Berbee will operate as a separate unit of CDW and maintain its current offerings.
