Overstock.com president Jason Lindsey retires—again
Lindsey, who co-founded Overstock.com in 1999 with Patrick Byrne, also relinquishes his position as chief operating officer and his seat on the board of the off-price online retailer. He will continue to work on special projects on a part-time basis.

Jack Byrne resigns from Overstock.com board of directors
Jack Byrne, father of Overstock.com chairman and CEO Patrick Byrne, has resigned from the company’s board of directors. He had rejoined the board in 2004, and served as chairman between August 2005 and April 2006.

Family feud: Overstock.com chair may resign over son’s ‘jihad’
John T. Byrne may end his five-month tenure as chairman of e-retailer Overstock.com because of what he calls his son’s “jihad” against industry reporters and analysts. The decision won’t come until the April board meeting, he tells InternetRetailer.com.

While sales grew 63% in 2005 over 2004, Overstock president Patrick Byrne says system problems hurt the company’s financial performance in 2005. The company lost $25 million vs. $5 million in 2004.
