Chico’s credits web site improvements for a rise in Internet/catalog sales
While comparable store sales were down 5.6% in Q2, web and catalog sales at Chico’s increased 42%. The company attributes the increase to improvements in its web site, better merchandising on the web and improvements to its call center.

Chico’s FAS catalog and web sales continue upward
Catalog and web sales have grown steadily, if modestly, at Chico’s FAS over the past three years, from $26.8 million in 2004, representing 2.5% of all sales, to 2006 when direct sales reached $53.5 million, or 3.2% of total sales.
