Blockbuster blocks out a movie streaming deal with Samsung
Shortly after archrival Netflix announced its latest deal, Blockbuster yesterday announced a pact with Samsung to integrate its web-based movie streaming technology into certain models of HDTVs, home theater systems and Blu-ray players this fall.

Amazon.com and TiVo subscribers with broadband Internet access can purchase or rent movies and TV programs through Amazon’s Unbox download service and immediately view them on their TV screen. CinemaNow is making it easier to view downloaded movies through an Xbox 360 game console, and Netflix reports more than 5 million viewings of its movie download service while planning a web-to-TV service next year.
