    Teen apparel retailer dELiA*s names a senior director of e-commerce

    The multi-channel merchant has hired Lee Bissonnette, formerly with Bloomingdales, as its new chief e-commerce and online marketing strategist. It also named Chris DiChiaro divisional merchandise manager of Alloy in charge of merchandising for Alloy.com.

    Multi-channel retailer dELiA*s grows web sales 31% in Q2

    Reflecting the fact that dELiA*s young market prefers shopping online over other channels, the web accounted for 50.4% of all dELiA*s sales in the second quarter vs. 43.4% in Q2 2005. Q2 web sales rose 30.8% while total sales grew by 12.7%.
