The Flooring Explorer shows a grid of products in a category, such as hardwood. Mousing over a product pops up a larger image with more detail and calls to action. Consumers using the feature are two and a half times more likely to make a purchase.

Carpet One president steps into e-commerce start-up role
CCA Global Partners, which operates Carpet One Floor & Home and other flooring retail brands, has named Evan Hackel to head up BizUnite, a new third-party web technology and marketing unit CCA will launch in June. Hackel was president of Carpet One.

IFloor is offering shoppers a $1 million limited warranty. The retailer offers the coverage in the event that a customer`s new hardwood or laminate flooring warranty claim is denied by a manufacturer specifically because they made their purchase online.
