Warp 9’s revenue takes a hit as retailers curtail spending
Third quarter revenue at Warp 9, provider of e-commerce platforms and services to retail companies, fell 16% to $485,088 from $580,477 a year earlier, the company reports. For the first nine months, revenue fell 14% to $1.6 million.

Gaiam loses green in year-end and fourth quarter results
With rising web sales a bright spot in the year’s $35.6 million net loss, Gaiam will boost online customer acquisition efforts. Web sales rose as a percentage of total revenue, to 13.9% in 2008 from 9.8% in 2007.

Brookstone e-commerce revenue falls 9.9% in 2008
After growing annual web sales by almost one-third for each of the previous four years, e-commerce revenue dropped precipitously for Brookstone in 2008, while comparable store sales and total revenue decreased by 14.2% and 11.7%, respectively.

1-800-Flowers.com sales fell 16.1% in FY 2009 Q2 and cost pruning looms
E-commerce sales declined 16.1% in the second quarter of fiscal 2009 for 1-800-Flowers.com, from $274.2 million to $230.1 million. Continuing cost-management efforts include a 10% reduction in salaried, full-time employees since the beginning of January.

Guess likes what it sees with e-commerce so far this year
Though the company didn’t break out specific numbers, Guess is feeling pretty good about its e-commerce channel. In the second and third quarters Guess grew e-commerce revenue by 30% and 60%, respectively.

Revenue grew 25% to $36.5 million in the first quarter at Art Technology Group Inc., up from $29.2 million a year earlier. The company projects full-year revenue will be 16% to 20% over last year.
