A combination of organic growth and acquisitions helped Guitar Center Inc. increase web sales by 14% in 2006, while total revenue rose by 13.9%. For 2006 Guitar Center posted web sales of $251.7 million in 2006.

Guitar Center replays its move to buy Woodwind & Brasswind
With approval from a U.S. bankruptcy court, Musician’s Friend, a unit of Guitar Center Inc., will pay about $29.9 million for substantially all of the assets of musical instruments retailer The Woodwind & The Brasswind, Guitar Center said.
