Total orders for the Mother’s Day holiday period from April 26 to May 9 exceeded 1 million, with orders on the peak day totaling 175,000. The company delivered more than 850,000 floral arrangements, live plants and other gift items.

Several online retailers say holiday season sales are running far more than expected, up to double the holiday sales pace of last year. Shoebuy says December sales are up 100%; at sporting goods retailer Altrec, seasonal revenue is up 94%.
