Drugstore.com reports higher Q3 revenue
For the quarter ended Sept. 27, Drugstore.com increased sales year over year by 10.3%. For the first three quarters, sales increased 8.4%. Drugstore.com reported net income of $246,000.

SourceForge reports 9.8% hike in Q2 e-commerce revenue
The operator of retail site ThinkGeek.com and several media content sites says e-commerce revenue rose 9.8% year over year to $7.44 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2009, as total revenue was flat at $11.8 million.

drugstore.com tops $100 million in quarterly sales for the first time
Sales were up nearly 9% from the second quarter of last year. The online retailer also reported record net income of $1 million, compared with a net loss of $2.3 million a year ago.

But Overstock.com improved its bottom line in the second quarter. While revenue declined 6.7%, Overstock posted Q2 net income of $389,000 vs. a net loss of $7.4 million in the prior year.

Web sales drop slightly for School Specialty in FY 2009
For the fiscal year ended April 25, School Specialty reported a drop in web sales of 1.4%. Total revenue for School Specialty, which operates multiple e-commerce sites for brands such as ChildCraft and Sax Arts and Crafts, decreased 3.7%.

Online sales were not so sweet for Perfume.com
Sales fell 5.2% to $1.75 million, although without a $63,000 accounting adjustment the decline would only have been 2%, reports Live Current Media, parent company of Perfume.com. The company says its ability to survive “is in substantial doubt.”
