Quarterly web sales drop once more for Indigo Books & Music
It was another disappointing e-commerce quarter for Canada’s biggest multichannel books retailer. For Q3 of fiscal 2010, Indigo’s web sales in U.S. dollars declined 2.8%, and were down 3.8% year-to-date.

The first quarter of fiscal 2010 for was another tough one for Canadian retailer Indigo Books & Music and its e-commerce channel. Web sales in U.S. currency declined 3.2% as total sales grew 1.7%.

Web sales in third quarter of FY 2009 fall slightly at Indigo Books & Music
For the third quarter of fiscal 2009, Indigo posted web revenues in U.S. dollars of $24.7 million, down 2.8% from web sales of $25.4 million in the prior year. In Canadian currency, e-commerce revenue dropped year-over-year by 2.9% to $30.1 million.

Third quarter web sales rise 27% at Indigo Books
Indigo Books & Music reported a gain of 27.2% in web sales for the third quarter. For Q3, Indigo posted web sales in U.S. dollars of $30.9 million vs. $24.3 million in Q3 2007.

Communicate.com hires Jonathan Ehrlich as president away from Indigo Books
Vancouver-based Communicate.com Inc. has hired Jonathan Ehrlich as president and chief operating officer. He joins Communicate.com from Indigo Books & Music Inc., where he was executive vice president, online. Indigo is Canada`s largest book retailer.

Indigo narrows its Q1 loss
Web sales for Indigo Books and Music rose by 19.4% in the first quarter of fiscal 2008 to $18.5 million from $15.5 million a year earlier. Indigo is also rolling out an interactive photo sharing and custom scrap book service.

Indigo fiscal 2007 web sales rise by 9%
Indigo Books & Music Inc. posted fiscal year 2007 web sales in U.S. dollars of $80.9 million from $74.1 million in fiscal 2006. The Internet accounted for 10% of total revenue last year in U.S. dollars and 9% in Canadian dollars.
