Barnes & Noble’s holiday e-commerce sales were up 17%
The multichannel book retailer reported $134 million in holiday e-commerce sales, up by 17% from $114.2 million in the same nine-week period last year. Comparable-store sales were down 5.4% for the same period.

Barnes & Noble looks to digital content to revive lagging web sales
Sales at the retail chain’s web site fell 10.4% in Q4 and 1.3% for the fiscal year ended Jan. 31. Store sales fell 4.8% in Q4 and 2.7% for the year. Executives are touting the potential of greater sales of electronic books and digital content.
