Napster whistles a happier financial tune in fiscal 2008
Napster is reporting record revenue and a sharply lower net loss for the 2008 fiscal year. The music service posted a net loss of $16.5 million on revenue of $127.5 million compared to a net loss of $36.8 million on revenue of $111 million last year.

Napster turns up sales volume to $32.8 million for Q3
Revenue for Napster’s third quarter of fiscal 2008 grew to $32.8 million, up about 15.5% from $28.4 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2007, its third consecutive quarter of positive cash flow, says Chris Gorog, chairman and CEO.

Napster’s music download catalog moving to all-MP3 format
Digital music retailer Napster plans to shift its download sales catalog to the MP3 format in the second quarter. All single-track and album sales will be made exclusively in the MP3 format, which is compatible with most MP3 players and music phones.

Napster cuts its loss in the second quarter
Online music subscription service Napster Inc. posted higher revenue and a lower loss in the second quarter of fiscal 2008. For the quarter Napster’s net loss dropped by 43.3% while revenue increased by 23.9%.
