Online music sales rise for RealNetworks in the first quarter
RealNetworks, which owns and operates the Rhapsody online music service, increased music sales by 15.8% to $44.1 million in Q1. But total sales decreased year over year by 4.6% to $140.8 million and media and software-related sales declined 23.1%.

The name “ebay” was searched 22.3 million times, Nielsen Online says. The name “walmart” came in a distant second with 12.2 million searches, and “amazon” third with 7.5 million.

Walmart.com is ending support of DRM-protected music files
Walmart.com plans to end server support of its DRM-protected digital music as it phases out music in the .WMA format. Users have been advised to copy such files to disks or risk losing them altogether.
