Amazon flows into Arizona with a new fulfillment center

Amazon.com Inc., which operates more than a dozen fulfillment centers in the U.S., plans to open a new 600,000-square-foot facility in Phoenix in the third quarter to handle orders for books, DVDs, music and software.

Petsmart buys out investor in dot-com to integrate offline and online ops

Petsmart has bought the share of its dot-com operation that was owned by outside investors and will combine the dot-com and catalog operations into its overall operations. Petsmart paid $9.5 million for the portion of Petsmart.com that it did not own.
