Musicnotes rings up 30% sales growth through early May

Sheet music and guitar tablature retailer Musicnotes reported $3 million in online sales from January through early May, a 30% increase compared to a year ago.

Musicnotes.com hits high note with 3 million downloads

Musicnotes.com, a retailer of sheet music and guitar tablature, has served more than 1 million customers, one of whom recently purchased the retailer’s 3-millionth download of sheet music, Musicnotes says.

Online sheet music sales are humming for Musicnotes.com

Musicnotes.com reports sales for the first half of 2007 of almost $2.85 million and expects royalty payments to musicians for digital sheet music downloads to exceed $2 million for the year.

Musicnotes brings back MXTabs as site for legal guitar music downloads

Guitar sheet music site MXTabs.net will strum a new tune—a licensed, legal one—when it re-emerges this summer as an online advertising-supported site operated as a unit of its new parent, Musicnotes Inc. Music publishers will share in online ad revenue.

Musicnotes Inc.’s Musicnotes.com web site will be offering the song catalog of Word Music Group, one of the largest publishers of Christian music, under a long-term license agreement.
