Web shoppers will shop a bit more online, but less at stores, studies show
Web shoppers will spend a bit more online during the holidays, even as they reduce spending in stores, a survey by The Conference Board and TNS finds. A seperate report finds three in five online consumers have cut their spending because of the economy.

Sales will suffer in Q4, but less online than off, Retail Forward predicts
At 1.5% growth over a year earlier, holiday sales this year will be the weakest since 1991, when sales grew 1.2%, TNS Retail Forward projects. E-commerce sales, however, will grow 9%, low by industry standards but stronger than total sales TNS says.
