Williams-Sonoma reports Q2 web sales up 11% year-over-year
Williams-Sonoma reports web sales rose 11% in the second quarter of fiscal year 2007 to $237.4 million compared with $213.8 million in the same quarter in the last fiscal year. The web represented 28% of Q2 sales.

Kellwood adds an e-commerce chief from Barnes & Noble
Kellwood Co., operator of the retail fashion web sites for the Phat Fashions brands, has appointed Tom Pastorello director of e-commerce. Pastorello previously was in web operations at Barnes & Noble and Williams-Sonoma.

E-commerce sales at Williams-Sonoma grew 31% to $201 million during the first quarter of 2006 from $153.5 million in Q1 2005. Total sales in the first quarter increased 0.2%. Web sales represented 25% of all sales during the first quarter.

Q1 Internet sales rise 59% year-over-year at Williams-Sonoma
First-quarter Internet sales at home-furnishings retailer Williams-Sonoma rose 58.6% to $95.6 million from $60.3 million in Q1 of last year, the company said today, adding that a shift toward web sales boosted gross margin as a percent of revenue.

Q3 web sales shoot up 71.4% at Williams-Sonoma
Web sales continue to outpace catalog and total sales at housewares retailer Williams-Sonoma Inc., rising 71.4% in the third quarter to $82.4 million, from $48 million a year ago. By comparison, comp store sales rose 5.6%.
