Shopzilla launches an affiliate program, with a twist or two
Comparison shopping site Shopzilla has launched an affiliate program for web site owners who want to create shopping links at their sites. The program create links to Shopzilla’s catalog of more than 30 million products from more than 92,000 retailers.

John Phelps has been named president of comparison-shopping site Shopzilla, succeeding Chuck Davis, who has been named chairman. Davis was president and chief executive officer of Shopzilla when it was acquired by The E.W. Scripps Co. in June.

Early-morning shoppers spend more than other shoppers, says new study
Web stores are available 24 hours a day, so consumers shop at them 24 hours a day. A survey just out from Shopzilla Inc. reports that late shoppers buy more and are more affluent than the general population of online shoppers.

Online shoppers are a fourth of the way through their shopping, survey says
Shopzilla polled consumers who made purchases on the web over the three-day Thanksgiving weekend and found that they had already completed 25% of their holiday buying. 47% say they plan to do all of their shopping on the Internet.
