eBay tops health and wellness sales and Amazon wins in consumer electronics

It was a battle of the big dogs in June as eBay and Amazon each took top spots in sales in separate product categories, according to Nielsen Online. Amazon ranked No. 1 for consumer electronics purchases and eBay took the top spot in health and wellness.

ProFlowers continues to bloom with top online conversion rate

ProFlowers.com, which sells floral products shipped directly from growers, led all online retailers reporting at least 500,000 unique visitors in May with a conversion rate of 38.6%, Nielsen Online reports. ProFlowers was also tops in April with 42.8%.

Shoppers searched “ebay” nearly 17.7 million times in February, making the online marketplace far and away the most searched-for retail name during the month. “Walmart” came in second with 5.9 million searches and “amazon” was third with 4.3 million.
