But on Staples.com, where sales are up amid a drop in total sales, the company grew its number of products as of the end of 2013 to 500,000 from 100,000 a year earlier.

    Staples reports another year of strong web sales

    Staples Inc. is reporting a 29% increase in e-commerce sales for 2006, while total sales rose by 13%. At the same time the Internet channel as a percentage of total sales grew to 27% in 2006 from 24% in the prior year.
